My wife works in the medical field, so I often hear many medical related items such as information about prescription drugs and the latest medical procedures. I have included some of those things here, especially the ones that I find interesting or intriguing.

I mentioned my wife in the above paragraph. She is a Histologist, or someone who practices Histology. This is a rather specialized profession, and one that is often misunderstood. Basically she works with a Pathologist, which is someone who looks at things taken from a persons body to determine if there is something wrong with them, such as cancer. A Histologist prepares these parts as cross sections on slides so the Pathologist can look at them and make correct diagnoses of any of a number of medical problems.
